Human Trafficking Study

This study aims to examine the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACE) on human trafficking vulnerability and the long-term mental health outcomes of survivors of human trafficking, as well as the role of social support networks among women survivors of human trafficking in Uganda.

Study Summary: This study aims to examine the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACE) on human trafficking vulnerability and the long-term mental health outcomes of survivors of human trafficking, as well as the role of social support networks among women survivors of human trafficking in Uganda. This study will be conducted in Wakiso and Kampala districts in the central region of Uganda. The study will employ mixed-method design including quantitative and qualitative (in-depth interviews) with survivors and key-informants respectively.
