Alex Daama
Head of Epi & Behavioral studies
Alex Daama is an epidemiology specialist at the Africa Medical and Behavioral Sciences Organization (AMBSO), where he heads the Epidemiology and Behavioral Research Department. As a member of the senior management team, Alex plays a crucial role in the management and leadership of the institution, as well as providing leadership to other initiatives that advance public health research and initiatives.
With a Master of Public Health, he has been instrumental in conducting and overseeing various research projects, particularly focusing on HIV, COVID-19, and Tobacco use. His work ensures the collection of credible and reliable data, which is vital for informing public health strategies and interventions. Alex’s commitment to quality control and compliance in research has significantly enhanced the integrity and the impact of AMBSO’s projects, contributing to the organization’s mission of improving health outcomes in Uganda and Africa at large.
