Dr. Getrude Nakigozi

Dr. Gertrude Nakigozi is a renowned epidemiologist and a founding member of  Africa Medical and Behavioral Sciences Organization (AMBSO). She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Makerere University, complemented by a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Nakigozi’s medical training was completed at Makerere University, where she earned her MBChB. Her extensive expertise in public health and epidemiological research has been pivotal in shaping AMBSO’s health initiatives. At AMBSO, Dr. Nakigozi has provided clinical oversight on several complex clinical trials, ensuring rigorous standards and impactful outcomes. As a key figure at AMBSO, Dr. Nakigozi continues to drive forward the organization’s commitment to evidence-based health interventions and clinical excellence. Dr. Nakigozi has been involved in a number of complex protocols including giving clinical oversight on the several Clinical trials conducted at AMBSO as Co-Investigator.
