Dr. Joan Nakakande

Dr. Nakakande is a MSc Public Health First Class degree holder, and currently the Head of Clinical Trials at AMBSO. She has vast experience coordinating clinical trials in various settings. Dr. Nakakande has spans from her initial role as a Study Medical officer which has been pivotal on almost all clinical research studies that AMBSO. She is also currently the administrative head of AMBSO’s Clinical Research Site in Masaka and dedicating her biggest percentage of FTE to coordinating the Gilead Sponsored Trial to test an injectable PrEP among Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in the greater Masaka region.
