Dr. Tozan is an Associate Professor of Global Health at New York University’s School of Global Public Health (GPH), within the Department of Global and Environmental Health. Over the past two decades, Dr. Tozan has focused on a wide range of global health challenges, including the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue, as well as HIV/AIDS, mental health, tobacco use, and COVID-19. Dr. Tozan leads health economics studies in several NIH-funded projects across Kenya, Uganda, India, and Vietnam. Her work extends to capacity-building initiatives in Africa and Southeast Asia. She currently serves as an MPI on the NIH-funded D43 training grant, ACHIEVE, which program trains early career researchers in implementation science and data science methods to address global health disparities, particularly among vulnerable populations in low-resource settings.
