Africa Medical and Behavioral Sciences Organization (AMBSO) www.ambso.org is a ‘Private Not for profit (PNFP) organization working in partnership with Uro Care Hospital, with Head offices at Nansana, along Hoima Road and satellite offices in Hoima and Kalisizo in Kyotera District. AMBSO conducts a wide range of activities of public health interest including clinical research, community-based health surveillance research; programs for health care service delivery and capacity building among health care workers and community health workers.

Job Title: ICT Volunteers (2 Positions)

Duty Station: AMBSO Site offices, Masaka & Kampala sites
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• To provide timely end-user support to all staff including helpdesk, Secure Email Service, network etc.
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks including taking care of the computer and systems security.
• Perform routine computer maintenance on all Organization computers including Laptops, printers, Desktops etc.
• Responding in a timely manner to work-related service support requests from the AMBSO staff such as printing, email, network.
• Providing IT Technical support across the Organization.
• Setting up e-mail accounts for organization staff (as will be guided by management and ensure also properly maintain accounts for the already enrolled users.
• Supervise all contractors/ service providers for ICT and related services across the entire organization as delegated by supervisor.
• Advise and support the organization in all ways directed to upgrading of its ICT services.
• Continuous training of AMBSO staff to cope up with the ever-growing technological demands of the world as well as the use of any newly provided IT gadgets.
• Support in AMBSO website management and updating.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of Website development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS
- Knowledge in Graphics design tools
- Proficient in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
