VOLUNTEER - DATA MANAGEMENT

Africa Medical and Behavioral Sciences Organization (AMBSO) www.ambso.org is a ‘Private Not for profit (PNFP) organization working in partnership with Uro Care Hospital, with Head offices at Nansana, along Hoima Road and satellite offices in Hoima and Kalisizo in Kyotera District (known as the Masaka site). AMBSO conducts a wide range of activities of public health interest including clinical research, community-based health surveillance research; programs for health care service delivery and capacity building among health care workers and community health workers.

AMBSO is seeking for qualified, committed and reliable Volunteers to support the Masaka Clinical Research Site. Applications are therefore invited from interested persons to fill the position below.


 

Job Title: Volunteer - Data Management (1 Position)  


Duty Station: Kalisizo - Kyotera District ("Masaka Clinical Research Site")

Reporting to: Data Manager (Technically) and Study Coordinator (Operationally)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with tracking of participant clinic visits
  2. Provide Support with identifying and communicating any data inconsistences/queries.
  3. Support and maintaining good records keeping for study tools
  4. Participate in study protocol training, re-trainings and team meetings
  5. Provide support in completion of the visit checklist to ensure that visit procedures are performed according to the study protocol.
  6. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 Essential qualifications/requirements:

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in: Statistics, Computer science, Data science, Information technology, Bio-Data Management or in a related field from a recognized university

Priority experience in working with health research institutions (either clinical or social-behavioral research is an added advantage

Computer literacy/competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, word and email) is a MUST

The applicant should have the ability and willingness to learn and share new ideas, have good organizational skills and multitasking.

Pay attention to detail with strong documentation skills

Good written and communication skills.
